On behalf of the Municipality of Alkmaar and Kern8, Sander, Attila and Grady have traveled to Tata with six teenvolunteers. Because it has been 500 years ago that an important political event happened in Tata it was celebrated.
One part of this businesses celebration was an exchange between the twin cities. Besides the Netherlands there were delegations from Germany, two from Italy, Slovakia, Poland, Romania and naturally, Hungary itself. The teenagers have been given different assignments that they had to do at home such as a presentation in English about their own country in the year 1510. This had to take 10 minutes and should of course be given in English. There also was a large collage made on this subject and in addition to this a PowerPoint presentation of 5 minutes on the current legal system in the country had to be made. And if I say so myself ... Our group has done a great job! Furthermore we also visited the ancient city ruins, the beautiful city of Budapest itself and attended an impressive tour of "The House of Terror". Of course it was also relevant that both the teenagers as well as us made contact with other participants. This was very successful and we made nice, new contacts with the other groups. All in all it was an informative, fun but exhausting experience, and finally... We are very proud of our participants because they have left an excellent impression behind! They were even picked as the best group! Pictures of his can be viewed by visiting our website or Facebook page. Sander and Grady Website: www.dedobber.com Facebook: Tienercentrum De Dobber
