The village Bystrice was founded as a princely village in the latter half of 14th century. The first historical mention dates back to 4 May 1423. The development of the village was influenced in particulary by agriculture and pasturage and later on by ironworks in Třinec. Bystrice is typical foothills village. A part of its development is spread all over the hillside and the narrow valleys. The residential buildings come from 19th and 20th century. The original wooden dwellings in the settlement Paseky has recently changed into recreational cottages.
